Look, the Democratic Congressional leadership is on the wrong side of an issue. A majority of the public understands things well enough to know that and Republicans are using the Democratic obstructionism to flog Democrats in an election year. My advice would be for Democrats to stop acting dense. Stop fighting the public.

I suppose you then think the Republicans should have come around on Iraq a year ago?

And pretending to come around but still arguing against more drilling access doesn't work - look at Obama. He said he'd support more access for exploration in a compromise bill, but then comes out and nullifies the political benefit by continuing to argue more drilling, comparing it negatively to airing up tires.

It's a minor part of the solution... and should be "truth labeled" that way.
