Most entitlement spending isn't based on income. If the economy does better you don't get fewer and fewer recipients you still get more and more. So the time to cut them is yesterday...

Actually I'm not necessarily even really calling for cuts, but at least a slowdown in the increases. So even if they where poverty based programs, it would still be better to start reducing the growth earlier rather than later.

and boomers going into reirement

All the more reason to restrain the growth in spending. If we don't we are going to have major problems because of the baby boomers retiring.
