And given the dual irrationalities in the US of (1) the involvement of the Israeli client state and (2) the neocon controlled Bush administration, in concert with:

the GOP need for a synthetic reason to elect their current Luddite, don't rule out this flashpoint being promoted, in conjunction with an Iranian tangent to involve another US brainfart.
