Your post, which I always (sort of, ggg)enjoy, has prompted me to
inquire if you watched the opening ceremonies at the Olympics yesterday? Wow, I, and I assume most of the World was stunned by the technological and choreographic opulence. But, that's not why I'm posting.
As a wonderful counterpoint to the beauty and stunning professionalism of China's coming out part, there was a cut away to our President sitting, bored, tapping his knee with a small American flag. The facial expression, body language and mindless
tapping kind of said it all. Was there ever a more stark contrast between a shifting of power and prestige between two super powers?
If folks don't recognize that the Red Commies were giving a clear and potent "we're here, and we ain't queer" msg to the West, they need to rub the sleepy seeds out of their eyes.
