From what I understand, bananas have a medium to high glycemic index depending on ripeness so they really could qualify as a white starchy vegetable.

Think banana think sugar. They must be at least as bad as whole grain wheat.

Sorry Charlie, those bananas gotta go.

If you must eat them, eat them green.

After reading the South Beach Diet, I gave up bananas. To me bananas are only good as a temporary treatment of diarrhea (after the clear liquid phase).
