The citizens of the state of NY endure a total tax burden, including federal, state, local, fees, real estate taxes, etc, similar to a citizen of an EU country but don't even get socialized medicine for that. Yes, something is out of wack in this country.

I am amused when Big Media pundits discuss the polls that reveal 7% of Americans like the direction the country is going in. They think Americans want more taxes.
