TJ:
Do not fear for there is always trouble in some part of the world, tis the nature of things.

Having just read through some 100+ posts mostly, conjecture,
hypothesis, theory, supposed facts and someone's account of history or genealogy regarding the Russian/Georgian fiasco, I am reluctant to join in for I do not have the free time that others have to devote to it.

I will say that, I have never been to that part of the world, no very little about it's history but I'd bet that:

The people aren't much different from people any where else. I doubt many of them want war, any more than Americans, Brits or Iraqies. They all are but pawns caught up in the schemes of military planners of various governments.

As to whose started it? Well, the purpose of secret service branch of governments is to misinform, lie, propagandize, misdirect and they have huge budgets for it.
There are still differences of opinions on who started most wars and information on the, 60+ year ago, WW 11 is still "classified". So why waste time on it. Much better to cheer for the home country in their valiant efforts and enjoy the extended family celebrations.

cheers,

R.
