McCain would do different?

If you heard Obama's and McCain's responses to the attack, the difference could not be more stark. Now, it may be that we aren't in a position to, or willing to, take military action under any circumstance. But the weakness of the Obama response was astounding. Contrast it with McCain's, which was a very clear condemnation of Russia's action.

The presidency does matter. If you turn the keys over to a weak, flip-flopping amateur like Obama it opens the door to all manner of geopolitical crises that would give world leaders pause under a stronger president.

That Bush is weakened right now due to his poll numbers and lame duck status is undoubtedly a precipitating factor in this event.

The world can ill-afford having a weak leader at the helm of the American presidency. And this event is just one more reason piled on an already tall stack of reasons.
