it is quite likely that putin directed the folks in s.ossetia to edge on the georgians, and the georgians fell into the bear trap even so, it takes two to fight, and three or four or five to rumble the great game would have re-started no matter who was in charge of what, as long as there are economic interest involved few folks would fight over ... for example ... let me see ... well, afghanistan, and if they did, they should soon enough realize and come to an 'oops' moment
