I am throwing in a generous dash of grape seed oil when I cook my oatmeal in the microwave. Then I add cinnamon, raisins, walnuts, and I eat it with skim milk. Delicious.

Don't know what flax seed oil tastes like. But grape seed oil has a very pleasant flavor (to me at least). I am now mixing it with olive oil when I cook and in salads.

Again

<In a study presented in 1993 at the American College of Cardiology Scientific Session, Nash and colleagues showed that up to 45 g (1.5 ounces) of grape seed oil per day raised HDL-C levels by 13% and reduced LDL levels by 7% in three weeks.[4] The total cholesterol/HDL ratio fell 15.6%, and the total LDL/HDL ratio fell 15.3%.>

Somebody actually bought me a bottle and I was about to send it back when I did a search on it. It probably has multiple beneficial components.
