Posting a bunch of irrelevant stats would do little to make it something else than opinion. It doesn't matter how authoritative your stats are since they don't go to the point I raised. Relevance is more important than an authoritative source. If the source isn't highly reliable the stats could still be correct, and maybe they could be checked. If the stats aren't relevant it doesn't matter how reliable they are. Also "authoritative articles" or "authoritative sources", doesn't necessarily even indicate reliable stats.
