<<It´s difficult to decide which side to support.>> why in war do we have some obligation to pick sides??? Man fights wars, he is killing animal, Franz Kafka was asked if he, as a jew, felt a bond with the Jews. Kafka responded "i do not even feel a bond with the human race, and jews are just that, part of human race." Is war like rooting at a football game.Seems so. *********************************************************** My mom's cousin refused to serve in WWII. He was told he could not get C.O. status unless he stated it was on religious grounds. He stated his refusing to serve was his my own decision as an individual that decided he will never participate in man's savage insanities. It was hiis own choice, saying he was not going cop-out and saying it is because of some religious belief(adding that religion is one the fundamental causes for war). Result, he spent one year in an Oregon Military prison for those like him and he started his day at 6 in the morning carrying boulders from one end of football field to the other end, when all rocks(running about 40pounds apiece) were on the otherside of the field they then had to move them back to the other end, back and forth back and forth every day 6am to 6 pm, and there was no way out but to say "O.K., i will go fight in your war".He never said "O.K." So he carried those rocks for a bloody year until the war ended. He went home and he had chickens hanging from his home, and rocks thrown through his windows, with messages like "you traitorous rotten coward", and he was put in coventry. He did not flinch, did not move, went about his business , including filing 100 or so patents, he created the now famous on the Maine Coast "PeaPod", became a Captain and designed and had built a vessel that still sails these shores, The Mary Day. Over time most all came to love the man. i hear even today, from people in their 60s/70s even, thatno one didn't like/love "Buds", and i say, well it wasn't always like that.
Captain "Buds" ******* died at 80 of leukemia, his ashes cast into the sea. i am proud to have such a relative. Ground Zero would have him SHOT. ******************************************************** A man that at the age of 13 looked at world, saw it as insane, and said, i am me, and i do not have to participate.
Georgia/Russia whose side does one take, o my---rubbish, it is all rubbish. And yeh i am like Kafka and yeh i am like "Buds", and i do not give a bloody damn what people think. BTW! Israel today proudly BOASTED, PROUDLY BOASTED, i will say that again, Israel PROUDLY BOASTED that they were a big part of the Georgians successful genocidal attack on Ossetian Russians. Don't believe me????????????????????????
Well so what? You have better things to decide, like which side to cheer for, get some popcorn and a flag to wave.Have FUN! Max

Jewish Georgian Minister Temur Yakobshvili on Sunday praised the Israel Defense Forces for its role in training Georgian troops and said Israel should be proud of its military might, in an interview with Army Radio.
"Israel should be proud of its military which trained Georgian soldiers," Yakobashvili told Army Radio in Hebrew, referring to a private Israeli group Georgia had hired.
Yakobashvili, Georgia's minister of reintegration, added that this training provided Georgia with the know-how needed to defend itself against Russian forces in the clashes which erupted last last week in the separatist region of South Ossetia. Advertisement
Yakobashvili said that a small group of Georgian soldiers had able to wipe out an entire Russian military division due to this training.
"We killed 60 Russian soldiers just yesterday," said Yakobashvili. "The Russians have lost more than 50 tanks, and we have shot down 11 of their planes. They have enormous damage in terms of manpower,"
Yakobashvili warned that the Russians would try and open another battlefront in Abkhazia and he denied reports that the Georgian army was retreating. "The Georgian forces are not retreating. We move our military according to security needs."
"There was no attack on the airport in Tbilisi. It was a factory that produces combat airplanes," said Yakobashvili referring to the attacks in the country's capital.
"The whole world is starting to understand that what is happening here will determine the future of this region, the future price of crude oil, the future of central Asia, and the future of NATO," the Georgian minister added.
According to him, "every bomb that falls over our heads is an attack on democracy, on the European Union and on America.">> |
