I dont know if they did or not. Prior to the russian invasion there was an incident where 15 so-called peace keepers were killed. I am sure if you polled south ossetians they would rather be part of russia than georgia by a large margin. In kosovo when that very thing happened they became independent and the world blessed it. I just get very upset when innocents are bombed, especially by a country who could care less about collateral damage.
