I'm not really sure what Obama's opinion is on those issues.

He doesn't seem to want to take any "hard" positions on anything.

But then, McCain doesn't either really.

At THIS point it looks like our troops will be in Iraq for as long as the Shiites in power WANT them to be. McCain may say he wants to keep troops there as long as WE feel they're needed, but I seriously doubt that he'd try to go AGAINST a democratically elected government in Iraq if they told us to get out completely. So...Iraq is going to play out pretty much the same regardless of who is elected.

FISA really needs to be looked at from top to bottom and I wasn't crazy about Obama seemingly folding rather quickly on the issue. I think that issue will also play out pretty much the same if either guy is elected.

Both guys now seem to be in favor of at least "some" oil drilling offshore, although both have been against it in the past. NOT drilling is a "political loser" right now, so it's not unusual that both candidates would suddenly change their minds about it.

Obama has actually been the "stronger" candidate on Afghanistan. He seems to understand that the "War on Terrorism" is NOW and always HAS BEEN centered there. That's absolutely OPPOSITE of Bush's position since 9/11.
