It looks like Bush may end up getting Georgia removed from the map, at least in every respect other than name.

He only has a few months left, but maybe he can get rid of Ukraine too.

Gee...I guess when Bush looked in Putin's eyes he couldn't really figure out that the guy wasn't going to let the U.S. just "box him in" from all sides without retaliating.

Too bad the Georgian President didn't have a little better reading of what was behind Bush's eyes (not much), but certainly not enough to risk any American forces to back him up if he tried to challenge the Russians.

If worse comes to worst, Georgia will end up like Chechnya with no male over the age of 15 left alive while Bush is back in Texas hosting barbecues.
