It wouldn't surprise me that you have the same personality type as myself.

I too can get energized and warm up when interacting with others, but over a longer period of time I find it both a burden and distraction.

The extrovert aspect can be an acquired skill. I saw extroversion as important to career success so I pushed myself into it beginning in college. When I worked for Chevron in extremely social positions, such as obtaining approvals for their projects, I was very good at it, but in my off-time I needed to recuperate by avoiding nearly all socializing. It eventually began to feel like each day was a performance where I was playing the part of a social outgoing executive.

When I ran my own business, my business partner was a genuine ENTP. He enjoyed dealing with all of the public contact and networking while I handled the thinking end of the business. This was much more comfortable.

We're still very good friends. He sees endless possibilities, and I can reduce them down and connect them together into something successful.
