So here's a compliment

potential of their work and not see it implimented, I know it's frustrating to me as a consumer and a stockholder."

Yes and that is why monopolies are no good for progress. The other half of the WINTEL can't seem to produce an OS that takes advantage of the hardware available. A better OS from the lieks of NOVL can't make progress against a monopoly and ditto for a number of other companies.

In the end the stockholders of INTC pay for the very monopoly that they think insures the companies success.
