So here's a compliment "Some of the Intel critics (SIC) are right, the only reason to buy a Pertium II at this point is the promise of future applications that will use it's performance. It must be frustrating to Intel to know the potential of their work and not see it implimented, I know it's frustrating to me as a consumer and a stockholder." Yes and that is why monopolies are no good for progress. The other half of the WINTEL can't seem to produce an OS that takes advantage of the hardware available. A better OS from the lieks of NOVL can't make progress against a monopoly and ditto for a number of other companies. In the end the stockholders of INTC pay for the very monopoly that they think insures the companies success.
