TJ, Great posting!

I took it and still take it that you are an advocate of preemptive war over your inability to compete (by working diligently) and your reluctance to stop borrowing and buying (due to laziness).
This is a very polite way to describe it, but it is a bit short of being constructively reasoning. I say it is a polite (huh, how close it is to politics, although the 2 words have different origin. Linguistically, it is still intriguing.) way as the reason(s) for what it is perhaps is far beyond your description. "Moral hazard" has its place therein.
