Okay. I thought humans were part of the alligators' food chain. What about those people who are running along the canals and get attacked?

Well they are somewhat unpredictable (unless you are a small dog in which case they are VERY predictable). But there are a LOT of people in Florida, and my guess is there are even more alligators. So there is a lot of interaction, and as they say, shit happens.

I guess I am a wuss. I wouldn't go near anyplace they might be. Do all the lakes and ponds in FLA have alligators?
