Do all the lakes and ponds in FLA have alligators?

Just about. I suppose real small ones don't, or if they have been removed (which is NOT easy). A couple of months ago I was doing my before dawn power walk and a lady was waiting with her kid for the school bus, called me over and said "there is a huge alligator crossing the road up ahead be careful". The street lights are sort of sporadic so I'm looking in the shadows everywhere, and hoping not to trip over the sucker. Usually I'm half asleep on these walks but I was quite alert until I got out of the pond/lake area!
