RE: My question is this: given BB's recommend of UTEK on NBR Friday night, will we be able to draw any conclusions about Bob's potential to influence the market in general by watching the price behavior of UTEK on Monday?
Oh, well... this is what happens when you idolize somebody! Now, if you listen closely, you might hear some shirtless guy say in a faint voice, "Been there, done that! This is what I did when Mr. XYZ recommended PQR in the year 19** and it happened to shoot up, and look at me now!" :-)
As for watching when Brinker will make a bear-market call, if I were to believe in market-timing (which I don't, btw), I would just keep tabs on a few long-time bears such as the Perma bear, Georgia bear, Mr. Bow-tie etc. If any of them turns bullish (I think if the present relentless taunting continues, it will eventually make any bear grow horns :-) ), that will be the signal for me!
