"Yeah, sure I know your Russian is perfect and has helped you to stay on top of the matters since the late 80s - or before." I never claimed to know much Russian. Granted, I rely on translations. As do many. Are you saying the translations are wrong? Say, how is your Russian? Since you are apparently claiming that to have any understanding of the area or the geopolitics, you have to have a command of both Russian and the various dialects?
