You are the one who made the claim that Bush's announcement caused the drop in oil prices, not I. If that wasn't the result of speculation, then what is it?

My stance has been that speculation is part of the run up in prices. However, even if all speculation were to stop, we aren't going more than a few percent below $100. Given that we were below $30 not too long ago, speculation is the smaller part.
