There is sidebar to this merger and that is what is going to happen to the largest drug store chain in U.S They have 60k employees, 5,500 stores and a mere 6 billion in debt.
It's book value is listed at a mere 1.45(and probably an over estimate).

i doubt anyone wants them.
So if they go under and close doors on 5,500 drugstrores in U.S., and 60k less employed.hmmmm.
Rite-Aid for the record was run by a bunch of for hard-core criminals that escaped to Israel with truckloads of money. i do not know if they are still there or ever brought they were ever brought to justice.
The company was an utter disaster but it was so big it semed it couldn't be allwed to collapse, but as the years go by, it just gets worse.
