Terrorists are a real and growing threat (again) now that they have relative sanctuary in Pakistan. Chris is wrong about their rag tag status. They only have threatened us when they have a secure base as in pre-9/11 afganistan. If we ignore them in pakistan, we will have the same thing happen again in a few years. Chris thinks its a police matter and then wont let the police gather the intel. Whose side is he on? He hates the Jews, hates the Americans and jokes about gas ovens and 9/11. We have to assume that he is at minimum an al quaeda sympathiser.

I may have him confused with Z, but I believe he [Parsons] actually said at one time there was no reason for us to have been involved in WWII.

All I can say for sure is that he hates anything remotely pro-American. There are few people who turn my stomach at the very though of them, but he is one.

As to "sanctuary in Pakistan", I don't think it is "sanctuary" when you aren't free to operate with relative flexibility and AQ certainly does not have that.

Not saying Pakistan isn't a problem -- but the question is what damage we've done to the terrorists and the answer is "one hell of a lot". To make it sound as though bin laden is running around Pakistan recruiting, training, funding volunteers as before is an absolute misstatement. Bin laden cannot show his face in Pakistan without the substantial risk he will be captured or killed.
