and will immediately drive down the price of gasoline...? It might have such an impact. Why are you trying to convey the idea that such drilling will make us energy independent? I'm not - thats a lie some anti-energy development folks are telling. And with regard to importing oil, what's wrong with that Nothing necessarily, though its better for us to use our own if we can. , and where is the oil we went to war for? Se didn't go to war to grab oil.
