Jon,

<Targeting any particular price "by the end of 1997" is foolhardy for a long-term investor.>

By and large I am a long term investor. However, even long term investors have targets they would like to see achieved by certain points in time. That is how I decide whether the stock is performing in line with my expectations.

<They could have blow-out earnings and be at 18 before the end of 1997, and never make it to 30. Depends on the mood of the market.>

Anything is possible. I am mre concerned with what is most probable. IMO, the probability of staying out of the 30's if the have blow-out earnings is very small regardless of what the market is doing.

Look at IOM Friday. They had very good earnings and a very good outlook in their conference call and they had a great day.

BTW, I do not view CREAF as a core holding which I plan on holding for years and years (like I have INTC) although you never know. It depends on how their business and market progresses. For now, however, my investment in CREAF is based on a price target (at which I think it will be fairaly valued) and not so much on time. At this time I think the current fair value of CREAF is 35.

Good luck,

FF
