Alex - Re: "I am not accusing, you were the one who mentioned that your children play video games. As a child I was not even allowed to watch television on schoolnights,"

You have confiremd my suspicions - you seem to hold a grudge against your parents for the way you were brought up.

Last I heard, there was no law against children playing video games.

In fact, my son finds these so inriguing from a technology standpoint that he wanted to kone how they were created. To that end, I began to show him how to to do some simple Windows programming with Delphi 3.
This is highly educational , especially for a 9 year old to do this.

Again, your deprivation during your formative years was and is the problem of you and your family - hardly pertinent to any one else.

Re: "Certainly, it can be considered honorable that the father be away from his children because he is providing them with a greater good (money to pay bills and such)."

Again, you have directly confirmed my suspicion. I admire your father's efforts but I'm sorry that you were neglected - however, that is YOUR PROBLEM and you and your family will have to resolve it, lest it interfere with your psyche throughout your adulthood.

As for me, I have worked well and saved well and invested well - so that I am home whenever my son is home - 100% of the time. I consider myself fortunate in this regard - and I thank Intel for helping make it possible.
