I just came back from a week in Prague, and you can get around nicely in English, even though they're not really good at it. However, it's a place full of tourists, and they all use English to get around, because none of the tourists know the local czech language.
All the locals are very service-minded. We took the local bus from the airport to the city, just to get the experience, and the bus driver really tried his best to help us, that was very positive. If everything else fails, there are plenty other tourists to ask for tips and help - I got some very good tips this way.
I would compare Prague a bit to Rome - there are things to see, many tourists, and it is not as expensive as Paris, London, Copenhagen. |
