This is no different that the Ah-nuld "Gropenator" scandal that the LATimes broke just a week before the CA recall in 2003. Although none of the info was just discovered shortly before the publication, the LATimes sat on the story until just the right time. Or the controversy surrounding Bush's national guard service, which was raised as an issue again in 2004 even though it was already raised back in 2000. Nothing new was discovered between those years, except a fake fax from Abilene, TX. I discussed the potential controversy over McCain's marital problems way back in March with an old college friend. This was around the time McCain was accused of having an affair with a lobbyist: bloggingstocks.com The coverage by the mainstream media was surprisingly light.
