Many voters believe it's reasonable to assume a person might have sympathies for Muslims, or possibly be a closet Muslim, when their father & gfather were Muslims, their stepfather was a Muslim and they studied the Muslim holybook, the Koran, for 4 years as a child. Add the fact the same person was not christened until they were 30yrs old, and it's understandable why some voters wonder if Obama has Muslim leanings. Then they read he has stated in one of his books that "if times get tough, I will side with the Muslims" and, well...surely you understand how they might come to the conclusion he identifies with the Muslims?
