I was very impressed listening to Marty Zweig on Wall Street Week. As one person who verifiably did call the crash(they played his earlier tape where he pedicted it just before it happened) and his description of the crash was just an isolated event from portfolio insurance and program trading etc.that he became concerned about a brief violent meltdown without any real fundamental reason, closely matches Bob's stated position when people try to nag him about not calling the crash. Like Bob, Zweig considered the crash a non-event in the scheme of things and pointed out the market was up for the year which Bob has often said. It gave me more faith in Bob's timing model that there was not some big flaw that missed the crash
