I have high hopes from the French and the Italians - less so from the Germans - to join forces with the US when it comes to protect NATO territory against the Russians. The French don't need the USSR pipe line, they are on 70+% nukes, and the Italians are starting up new nuke plants as well. Smart people. just like the Finns, who learned it all the hard way during their 'Finlandization' time. Taro
