"Yeah, we have nothing to argue about except you absolutely don't want any drilling in new areas."

You are "absolutely wrong".....What you are saying is that I want all drilling stopped now, which of course, is bullshit...

"
For some reason preventing drilling is important to liberals - must be a religious thing."

IT's not a liberal conservative thing numbskull....it's trying to conserve some of the remaining oil we have, and to stop your ridiculous attempt to stampede the nation by lying to them that drilling now will bring down gas prices....an outright lie....
You don't belief we have passed peak oil and you don't understand what that means.... You're displaying the reasoning power of a sub-prime borrower....or someone who is borrowing and spending his 401K savings...

"BTW conservation of course reduces demand but does not provide any more oil."

Conservation will stretch out the oil we have remaining....do you save any of your money or spend it as you get it?? drilling does not provide more oil....oil cannot be created, we have all we're going to get. Drilling will only make it available for consumption and then it's gone forever.....
