I want to give a good response to your question but the subject of how the devil is deceiving the world is so large I don't know where to start. The bible says that Lucifer "corrupted wisdom" and I believe that means that the devil has replaced God's wisdom in the world with his own "corrupted wisdom". It's what is referred to as worldly wisdom. Worldly wisdom leads to unbelief (the antithesis of faith) which short circuits belief in God and Jesus His Son. So the devil has filled the world with his corrupted wisdom to "blind the minds of the unbelieving" so they never see the truth of Jesus Christ and are saved. That response just scratches the surface but it's a start.
