Marginally literate folks who are convinced taxes are for other people have driven our country to where it is today.

Actually we formed this country because of taxes. Were the founding fathers marginally illiterate? The civil war was because of unjust tariffs(taxes) levied on the South by the North. The demise of following the Constitution has more to do with where our country is today than illiterate people...although there is likely a cause and effect there somewhere.
