Zeta, one cannot "hope" where nuclear war is a possibility. We should be steering as clear as possible.
Everyone has huge blind spots and insanity, real insanity, like psychosis, not neurosis, is very common. We foregt that all the time.
My own mother went insane and I was married to a person who engaged in magical thinking. I have closely monitored "insane thinking' my whole life. And am careful in my own case. Some would say I failed-lol.

Gates may be the one hope as he does seem sane and I think he will resign rather than take super dangerous steps, although this missle thing with Poland was sure stupid.
