Gerald It is a sad day if Vanni has gone. His contributions to this thread have been outstanding, not always for their content, but for their effect. A "Vanni" can reduce a thread to shambles. (go back and read the Seagate thread for the last month or so. [he is getting thanks there now from those who listened]) Here he has applied the needle, mocked on occasion, and contributed more research than most regulars. The overall result is, IMO, highly positive as well as entertaining. We can handle it. In contrast there's a fellow out there (now back on the Applied Magnetics thread) named Gary Ku. He ruins a thread when he comes in. Find his profile and read a dozen or so posts. You just may begin to understand how lucky we are that we only have the constructive Vanni to fuss about, and just for fun at that. It's easy to be the critic. I had hoped you would post more often.
