SWC has collapsed(palladium and platinum). Look at its chart and it has always in the past rallied strongly after collapses.
Question is this the bottom???? It is coming off a low of 6.14, it's high this year 22.xx.
In 2003 it hit like 2 dollars and then steadily rose to 17 over 2 years.

A look at its' 14 year chart.

The CDE stock(huge silver mining company) i consider an AVOID!!! stock has a management that is wildly anti-sharholder---they themselves hold about 1/2 of 1% of the 550million shares. So they really give a damn the price of the stock.

They have been diluting shares constantly to expand the company by selling shares.

But these are other silver stocks taking a severe beating (most down 50% or more--but had been rallying off of recent lows until yesterday.i see HL actually rose yesterday)
But all mining companies are also effected by cost of crude,as cuts into their margins.

Shares of some top silver companies were mixed at the close of trading:
Hecla Mining rose $.09 or 1.3 percent, to $6.88.(HL)
Pan American Silver fell $1.41 or 5.5 percent, to $24.38.(PAAS)
Silver Standard fell $1.41 or 5.6 percent, to $23.74.(SSRI)
Silver Wheaton fell $.43 or 4.1 percent, to $10.14.(SLW)
