Sorry about the ambiguity. Usually you just wave your hand and say "the experts agree" without a link to said experts. That is an appeal to authority argument.

I do that. With my supporting evidence. Then you usually make your appeal to authority.

"Do not just bash the messenger without backing up your position. "

I always back up my position.

I do follow the subject.

This is the sort of thing I mean. Most of the effective measures were in place before 2001. Many of the safety measures put in place after 2001 have actually made airports more vulnerable. Like the screening lines.

Granted, they have made travel a lot more inconvenient. Like the silly ban on liquids and making clearing security much more of a chore. And they still haven't addressed all of the contractors who service the planes. Any of which can easily smuggle weapons into a plane before boarding.
