Did y'all here Bob trash Compaq (and Dell)? They are just
box makers. Intel is the technology company. The multiples
are not justified. I have wandered about the multiples myself,
but figured obviously someone much smarter than me had a
justification, given the large number of shares purchased
at these high prices. The CFO even made an insider buy at
a price not much lower than Friday's close.

I guess Bob puts Compaq in the "fabricated metal products"
classification. Or perhaps "STEEL WORKS, BLAST FURNACES &
ROLLING & FINISHING MILLS [3310]". Compaq may be nothing
more than "a couple of Chinese engineers and a Mexican
factory" to quote one official. I cannot disagree with Bob.
I sold Compaq at a price much lower than today's based on
valuation. Unfortunately, I bought back in at even a higher
price, due to momentum.
