You only have to go through that type of pain once to never let it happen again.
--Think there are lots of people who remember the lines for gas and also making appointments to even get it. Did they change their ways after that was over? I don't think so, so there goes that theory.
In addition, already people are talking about buying trucks and SUVs because the price has dropped so that even with the higher price of gas, they felt it would even out.

New transportation technology has arrived. GM recently announced its goal to have 1000 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles on California highways by 2014. Honda expects to have 200 Hydrogen FCX Clarity's within three years.
--It's 2008, 2014 is awhile away. Do you really think everyone will have the money to buy these new cars? With this economy it looks like they won't. Forget trying to trade your truck in. I checked the Blue Book and a truck bought for 15k in the last year is now 7k. If people financed it, which most do, they'd have to pay off the difference taking the loss and adding the price of the new car.

. The next President of the United States will implement alternative energy on a grand scale like never before. John McCain wants to build 45 new nuclear reactors by 2030 and ultimately wants 100 new nuclear plants in the U.S.
-----I'd say we have a ways to go before 2030 so selling all my energy stocks when the market opens just might not be the best strategy.:)

4. The last piece of evidence for a decline back to historic oil price levels is actually a secret that neither the green people nor the oil people want us to know about. The secret is that new oil is plentiful. Oil drilling rigs are booked until 2012. Recent finds include Brazil, the Gulf of Mexico and Africa.
--- Unless I missed it, he's said nothing about global problems affecting oil nor has he mentioned Mother Nature with hurricanes, etc..

Hey, this is his opinion; but I'd do a whole lot more studying before I sold all my energy stocks.... I'm thinking that suggestion was probably your biggest joke. LOL

Why don't you post that article on Dale Baker's BB and get the input over there. Lots of seasoned investors and I'd think you'd get some quality replies.
