Actually DEC has excellent yields and AMD could learn a lot from them. Last time I checked the Alpha's out technically (over a year ago already), there were a pretty complex chip, with TONS of transistors (many many million) and a large die size.. but none of that crippled them for yield.

Sure DEC may not have made as many as AMD, but the ones DEC has to make are a lot harder to make.. IMHO.
