Great moment at the Olympics..4 US relay swimmers holding Old Glory in front of a huge bank of global photographers. Then Michael Phelps crawls up in the stands through the crowd to get a hug from his mother and sisters, after winning his 8th gold medal.

Only thing that gives pause is to wonder why those who've put their lives on the line for the country don't receive the same sort of adulation as a great swimmer does. Those who've served in combat should receive at least something equivalent to an Olympic medal ceremony from their fellow citizens.
