I saw the broadcast, I thought it was great... the separate interviews revealed an enormous amount of information about the character and personalities of these two people, this is something you never see during those 30 second lightening round debates where they can give their pre planned and rehearsed responses...
Here's my take:
obama's responses were hesitated, cautious, and measured... it demonstrated his cunning and calculated attempt to be sure to say what he thinks people might want to hear... it all came across as phoney and more of the same insincere manipulative political tripe for votes... mccain was blunt, direct, and he told it like it is as mccain saw it for himself, take it or leave it... his answers were personal, more human, and were often emotionally charged... it came across as real and genuine, you get what you see, he doesn't care if you don't like what he says, but he's going to tell you how he feels and what he thinks...
