All of Cheney's HAL holdings were disposed of before he took office, EXCEPT for a few hundred thousand stock options which could not be sold or otherwise transferred. As a result, he made an assignment of profits on those options to charitable organizations.

Cheney never, from the day he took office, stood to benefit one nickel from anything at HAL.
