But of course, the mainstream media is becoming increasingly irrelvant. In my little world, I stopped subscriptions to city newspapers because all the "news" AP syndicated, and byline articles were on the web the day before. However, I can go to the BBC, Le Monde, Ha’aretz, Asia Times, Tehran, whatever, with a mouseclick. Of course, to do so requires an interest. It is hopeless to believe that those who do not care will ever take the initiative to be informed. OTOH, I get one vote, and so do they, and I am vastly outnumbered. Hence, McCain gets the nod from the Republicans and Obama for the Dems. Nothing ever changes.
