That is pretty much it. They've made it clear they want a regime change(I have heard that somewhere recently in another context...). And it wouldn't surprise me if the new regime is rabidly pro-Russian.


A couple of things that really piss me off about this whole affair:

First off, you know no one has tried to negotiate a compromise over this feud during the past 16 years because no one wants to give an inch. S. Ossetia has 60K+ S. Ossetians and 30K+ Georgians. Clearly, neither side deserves the whole pie.....but both sides want the whole pie so instead, they screw with each other.

Then we have the US. Bush is talking about looking into Putin's eyes while the US secretly is arming Georgia. Not only is he BSing everyone but the American people don't have a clue what is happening. Suddenly, there is another hot spot that flairs up with our fingerprints all over it. I am sick the death of this sh*t. How the hell can we clean up our act at home while we are stirring up every pot in the world?!
