That article is pure Russian propaganda. All the reporters that actually visited Tskhinvali and talked to doctors at the hospital in Tskhinvali report that the number of civilian deaths are very few, considerably less than 100, never mind 2000, and the city is largely intact. The wounded in the hospital were overwhelmingly soldiers and militiamen.

I agree with Buchanan's opinion on the Georgian situation, but we should not take everything the Russians are saying at face value.
