GEORGIA sees no sign of the start of a promised Russian withdrawal from Georgian territory, its top national security official said today, despite the Russian military's insistence it had begun. "The situation still remains unchanged. We see no signs of a pullout," the Secretary of Georgia's National Security Council, Alexander Lomaia, said. "Entry to the city of Gori is practically impossible," he added, referring to checkpoints on the road to Gori which lies 60km outside Tbilisi.
So, Exxon John McInsane has to send his fans to Georgia now. What good is to say that "We're all Georgians now" and then to slink away like a coward when Georgia is being attacked, huh?!
Or, was it Exxon John's intention to milk the story for his political advantage here?! Nah! Considering how he continues to battle the Religious Right, how he continues to oppose tax cuts for the rich and how he continues to oppose torture, he can't be doing this for political mileage, can he?! |
